Andy's interests comprise northern Swedish and Finland-Swedish literature, YA and children's fiction, crime and psychological writing, nature and landscape prose, alternative, genre-bending narratives, LGBT and masculinities.

As well as being a full member of SELTA, Andy is a member of the ETN and an associate member of the Translators Association of the Society of Authors.

Andy was Swedish mentee in the 2018-19 National Centre for Writing's Emerging Literary Translator Mentorships Programme, working alongside Sarah Death.
